Meals at the cottage have to be easy and FAST but I still want to feel like I'm feeding my family healthy filling meals. I don't have access to my fully stocked kitchen, so I like recipes that take only a few simple ingredients that can also be used our other meals.
Barbecuing is a bonus, because it gets my men folk involved with the cooking. Plus it's often too hot to want to slave over the stove inside! So I like to plan at least a few meals that can be made on the grill. Enjoying the sunshine and a vacation-approved beverage while preparing a meal and watching the kids splash around in the water... what could be better than that?
Sharing meals like nachos and cheese fondue let us reconnect and linger longer over the dinner table. They are perfect when a game of Settlers or Monopoly are running long and we just want to graze as we play.
