I served this the other night at a get together with my graphic designer/ business buddy. It was an evening full of inspiration and new ideas. In my opinion one of the most amazing parts of being an entrepreneur is creating something new. I can get so excited about trying a new recipe or taking pictures of food!
Have you ever had a dream that you were pregnant or giving birth and woke up to say... Uhhh, this baby factory is CLOSED!! My friend Judithe is a dream analyst and she tells me that as a woman, when you dream you are pregnant or are giving birth, it's not necessarily related to having children, but giving birth to new ideas or a new project. Amazing (and comforting)! Your subconscious sometimes knows that you're giving birth to a new idea, before you consciously understand that is what's happening!
I once had a dream that I was taking care of a whole bunch of baby elephants. In my dream my grandfather was helping me. We were giving them water and food and cleaning out a space for them to live. The elephants were all different ages and sizes. When I mentioned this dream to Judithe, she suggested that these baby elephants represented my businesses and projects. And that as I was nurturing them, the skills I had learned from my grandfather were helping me. I absolutely loved that idea! And I often visualize my grandfather in my mind helping me feed my elephants!
Our dreams can be pretty powerful messages! And this is my message for today... Take good care of your baby elephants!
