Who said that eating vegan and dairy-free means missing out on your sweets? This mouth-watering vegan dessert takes the classic baked apple and then stuffs it full of yummy apple crisp! Top it all off with our Zengarry Double Crème and voila! An un-BRIE-lievable vegan dessert indulgence!
4-6 medium sweet apples
1 pkg. Fauxmagerie Zengarry Double Crème cashew cheese
1/3 c. gluten-free oats
2 Tbsp. coconut sugar
1 Tbsp. coconut oil, melted
1 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp. of ground ginger
1 dash ground nutmeg
Pinch of salt
1. Remove top of washed apples with a paring knife and remove the apple core enough to leave sufficient room for the apple crisp filling.
2.. Mix all filling ingredients together in a medium bowl and fill each apple completely with mixture.
3. Place stuffed apples in baking dish with ½” hot water in bottom of dish. Cover with foil and cook for approximately 40 minutes in preheated 350 degree F oven.
4. Once baked apples have cooled slightly and are ready to serve, top each apple with a generous dollop of Fauxmagerie Zengarry Double Crème cashew cheese and sprinkle with a touch of cinnamon for garnish. Indulge!
